Our History

The Beginning

In 2021, the effects of the pandemic were starting to be realized more than ever before and people were suffering, loss of employment, loss of family, loss of connection, loss of familiarity, and loss of self. People needed help and in particular from someone who shared their similar experiences, who was from a similar background, and who they felt could provide some insight into how to manage these challenges. Our response - “The Way Out”

The Road Ahead

As we began to gather information about the mental health challenges experienced by those in our community, we quickly understood the importance of tailoring our services to be culturally sensitive as we navigate the disproportionate effects of mental health on minority populations.
